I used to weigh 200 lbs and was extremely unhealthy. I was on a myriad of medications for fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, gastroparesis, interstitial cytitis, and had terrible asthma. I decided to start my fitness journey when I saw an advertisement for Spartan Race. First, I tried to do it on my own- trail running and hiking daily to lose weight. By the time my first race came around, I was not ready. I did finish; however, it was the hardest thing I had done in my life. 

I decided to start seeing a personal trainer to hopefully prepare me for my next race and get faster results. My trainer literally changed my life. The weight started shedding, and I became stronger, faster, and healthier! I was able to stop all of medications, and no longer suffered from constant flare ups. Since then I have run all three distances of Spartan Races and completed my Spartan Race trifecta in 2014. I have also ran three half marathons and competed in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments, and placed on the podium. After initially experiencing the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, I decided to leave the Veterinary field and become a fitness professional to help others experience what I did. I got my certification through National Academy of Sports Medicine. I created Ace Performance Training and chose Pasadena Strength and Conditioning as the initial facility I would train out of due to the fact it is so vast and has an amazing selection of equipment for all levels of fitness. After about three years, I added my Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification through NASM. I was introduced to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at this facility on May 7, 2016 and it has become the biggest part of my life. After a couple years, I made a move to a different facility, Matador Performance Center.  I always make it a point to do what is best for my clients- and continuing to educate myself and make sure my clients are happy with the facility in which we work out of is the best way to do so. I am currently a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Franjinha Miller of Paragon and decided to focus and specialize in biomechanics corrections for MMA fighters, Judokas, Jiu Jiteiros and Grapplers. 

My goal is to educate my clients/students so they can feel confident in the techniques they learn, go to their training and the gym, know what to work on, how to use the proper fitness equipment, and how to determine whether the proper techniques/muscles are being worked (especially for rehabilitation clients).

 My hobbies include reading scripture, spending time with my family, Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu, hiking, shooting firearms, lifting, cooking, gardening, painting, running Spartan Races, playing mini golf, salsa dancing, bowling, playing basketball/soccer/volleyball, fishing, trying new cuisines, snow shoeing, snowboarding, and kayaking/ SUP.
